But Hotels are Expensive in San Francisco
Hotels are more expensive in the San Fran area as compared to the normal Las Vegas room rates. Here’s some ideas to still make it affordable to attend and justify the T&E.
- Stay by the SFO Airport and take BART into the conference each day. Rates are usually 100-200 cheaper than downtown.
- Air BNB options are becoming more popular and you can find some decent places to stay right downtown, but you have to act fast to take advantage of them. Book an Air BNB with up to 4 people and your nightly costs are almost like staying in Las Vegas.
VMware Hands On Labs
Earn CloudCred points for taking labs, visiting Hands-on Labs Connect, interacting with product experts, and participating in other activities onsite in the VMware Hands-on Labs room. Hands-on Labs Connect is the nerve center of the VMware Hands-on Labs room, where you can check into labs, chat with other attendees, and participate in pop-up discussions. It is also home to the HOL Command Center, presenting a live vRealize Operations dashboard of the current lab environment and an interactive presentation of lab facts. Check out the infrastructure that has deployed over 2 million labs in the last five years. The HOLs at VMworld are only available during the conference and are not published to the public HOL portal until after VMworld Europe has completed. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to kick the tires on the latest releases before anyone else.
